Challenges
Open Labs have run a number of innovation challenges that have facilitated interaction between digital and creative technology companies and University researchers that explore new opportunities and develop early stage ideas.
Our first event of 2012 will be Body Lab - this is an opportunity to find out how real-time physiological data can be used to influence the user experience. This day long, hands on workshop will feature a briefing on physiological computing, demonstration of systems that utilise body data and an opportunity to work collaboratively to make more compelling experiences.This event will take place on February 29, 2012 in Open Labs' collaboration space - more information including registration access will be available soon.

Hacks meet Hackers saw Open Labs collaborate with the Daily Post & Echo and Scraperwiki to deliver a day for over 40 journalists and creative technologists to explore the possibilities of using hard to reach public data to tell new stories. You can see how we got on here:
