Location
All of the accommodation provided to new students is within easy walking distance of the main city-centre teaching buildings.
Although Liverpool has a compact city centre, it makes sense to choose accommodation which is close to where you will be taught. This has the added advantage that you will probably be sharing your flat with students on similar courses. LJMU has three main campus areas - two are found in the city-centre and are known as the Mount Pleasant Campus and the City Campus. The third is the I M Marsh Campus and is located in Aigburth, about 4 miles outside the city-centre but easily accessible by public transport.
Accommodation for Mount Pleasant Campus students
The Mount Pleasant Campus is home to the Faculty of Business and Law and the Faculty of Media, Arts and Social Science. The following accommodation options are ideal for students undertaking courses in either of these Faculties:

Accommodation for City Campus students
The City Campus is home to the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Technology and Environment and the Faculty of Health and Applied Social Sciences. The following accommodation options are ideal for students undertaking courses in any of these three Faculties:

- Marybone 2
- Marybone 3 - reserved for healthcare students only
- Atlantic Point
- Victoria Hall
In addition, students based in the City Campus can also choose any of the accommodation based closer to the Mount Pleasant Campus - with Grand Central, Apollo Court, Great Newton Hall, Opal Court, Prospect Point and Europa being the most convenient options and in that order.
Accommodation for students based at the I M Marsh Campus
There is one Faculty based at I M Marsh - Education, Community and Leisure or ECL. New ECL students should consult this webpage for further information on their accommodation options. Students will need to choose a city-centre site and Great Newton Hall and Apollo Court are recommended because of their proximity to bus and train routes from the city-centre to I M Marsh. In addition Grand Central and North Western hall are always popular with ECL students.
