BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology
The BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology is primarily concerned with the science of architecture, building design and construction, providing an important link between the design process and the actual construction. The programme will appeal to students who want to complete a vocational degree course in a built environment discipline, developing specialist knowledge in building design, construction technology, project preparation and contract administration, as well as contemporary technology, such as computer aided design.

BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering

Imagine the most fabulous and prestigious building in the world, but without its services – no lighting, heating, ventilation, plumbing or power supply; no lifts or escalators, energy management systems and no  security and safety systems.  Everything that makes a building safe, comfortable and habitable comes under the umbrella of ‘Building Services’. We need buildings not simply to provide us with shelter – buildings should be environments in which we can live, work and achieve in comfort and safety. Building Services are what brings buildings to life.

BSc (Hons) Building Services Engineering Project Management

Professionals in the field of Building Services Engineering are concerned with the design and installation of systems like heating, lighting, power, lifts, ventilation and everything that affects internal environments in buildings of all sizes and types. Building Services Engineering Project Management is a branch of Building Services Engineering in which professional engineers must apply both technical and managerial knowledge.

BSc (Hons) Building Surveying
The BSc (Hons) Building Surveying is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Association of Building Engineers and equips students with the knowledge and skills for a career in building surveying.

BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering
The BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering is accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers and equips students with the knowledge and skills for a career with engineering contractors, consultants or local authorities.

This degree is accredited as:

  1. Fully satisfying the educational base incorporated Engineer (IEng).
  2. partially satisfying the educational base for Charted Engineer (CEng). A programme of accredited Further Learning will be requiered to complete the educational base of CEng

BSc (Hons) Construction Management
The BSc (Hons) Construction Management is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building and the Association of Building Engineers and equips students with the knowledge and skills for a career in construction management.

BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying
The BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and equips students with the knowledge and skills for a career in quantity surveying.

BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management
The BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and equips students with the knowledge and skills for a career with estate agents, surveying firms, valuers, corporate sector organisations, local authorities and central government departments.

BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management & Business
The BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management & Business is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and equips students with the knowledge and skills for a career in private sector organisations including residential and commercial estate agents, professional practice, investment appraisal, property finance, development / funding, property valuation, auction sales, property management, rating / taxation as well as opportunities with local and central government.

HND/HNC Building Production Technology

Are you interested in the planning and construction of buildings?  Would you like to develop a career in a challenging profession, working as part of a team with a wide range of people who manage the resourcing and financing of all types of buildings? The HND Building Production Technology course caters for students from a wide variety of academic and professional backgrounds. It provides a solid grounding in the Construction and Property Sector.

HND/HNC Building Surveying

If you are interested in acquiring knowledge and developing skills to work within a challenging profession that allows you to work with a wide range of people and have an interest in the design, construction, use, upkeep, and conservation of buildings then this is the course for you. The programme of study focuses on developing a good understanding of the factors affecting the design, construction and refurbishment of buildings, together with the framework of property, contract and  health and safety law.

HND/HNC Civil Engineering Studies

 Do you want to make a real difference to the world?  Do you have a fascination for the way things work and a desire to see your ideas put into practice? If you are interested in creating the structures that support life’s basic needs for water, flood control, hospitals, recreation and transport, you should consider studying a programme in Civil Engineering.

HND Real Estate Management

Are you interested in acquiring knowledge and developing skills to work within a challenging profession that allows you to work with a wide range of people? Do you have an interest in the property market, how buildings are bought and sold and do you wonder where the prices that they exchange at come from. The Real Estate Management course offers an introduction into the valuation and management of urban land and buildings in both public and private ownership.  This is carried out by considering the role of property within the market place and in the construction industry.  The role of a GP Surveyor is placed within the context of the construction and property sector.
