Journal of Pavement Engineering and Asphalt technology

ISSN:1464-8164

The International Journal of Pavement Engineering & Asphalt Technology (PEAT) is published by the Liverpool Centre for Materials Technology here at LJMU

Edited by LJMU’s Professor Hassan Al Nageim, the PEAT journal contains articles which analyse the manufacturing and use of concrete and bituminous materials in pavement engineering. The journal addresses a host of topics related to the technology and materials involved in the design, manufacturing, specification, management, construction, evaluation, rehabilitation, of variety of functional surfaces, including roads, city streets, and airport runways.

Other subjects include:

-Materials Technology: Secondary aggregates, binders, cold/hot mix asphalt recycling, hydraulically bound materials and SMART materials.

-Testing techniques: including destructive and non-destructive tests

-Construction techniques: the latest developments in construction plant and processes.

-Manufacturing processes: the latest developments in binder and asphalt production.

-IT developments: Addressing pavement design, evaluation, construction, management, pavement related environmental issues, maintenance and pavement performance, etc.

-Waste Materials: innovations in waste reduction, re-use, planning, management, environmental issues.

-Government policy: reviewing regulation of wastes and secondary materials.

-Utilisation: alternative sources of secondary, waste, recycled and manufactured materials.

-Concrete pavement technology: innovations in design, analysis, management and rehabilitation.

-Composite pavement technology: innovations in design, analysis, management and repair.
