Mount Pleasant Campus
An investment of £70 million is planned for the Mount Pleasant Campus.
This investment will result in facilities unrivalled in the North West, helping position LJMU at the forefront of education and knowledge transfer in the arts, creative and cultural industries, and business and law.
All of the developments are designed to enhance the student experience and are based on extensive research on effective learning environments. The new and refurbished facilities will enable LJMU to better deliver its new model of higher education, equipping students with essential world of work skills, fostering entrepreneurial thinking and harnessing advances in digital and communication technologies, within a new campus environment.
The Mount Pleasant master plan reflects LJMU's ambition to create a cohesive, integrated campus for the Faculty of Media Arts and Social Science and the Faculty of Business and Law. The adoption of more flexible learning environments and expansion of social space will encourage greater interaction between students, staff and other users of the LJMU campus, stimulating new ways of working and encouraging greater inter- and multi-disciplinary working.
