Finding the right job has never been easy. You have to look for something that plays to your strengths, meets your aspirations and provides you with the chance to use your graduate skills in the ways that make sense to you.
CMS is designed to help you do this by taking you through the process from start to finish. In the first section you look at your skills, abilities and values. In the second you find out what jobs you can do. Finally you learn how to make effective job applications and excel in interviews.
By the end of CMS you will have:
used on-line self-assessment tests to create a personal portrait of yourself
thought about how you relate to others in a work setting, things like your team role and decision making style
found out about the skills that employers look for
found out what jobs you can do with your degree
tracked down employer and recruitment web sites relevant to your career plans
explored other options like time out, post graduate study
understood what make a good CV really stand out from the crowd
had an insight into the recruitment process and how to perform well at interviews
devised a personal action plan setting out your long and short term goals and how you intend to achieve them.
