Liverpool City Region - Local Enterprise Partnership (LCR-LEP) LEP's were created in 2010 following the coalition governments decision to replace Regional Development Agencies (e.g. NWDA). LEP's main aims are to help stimulate economic growth, create jobs and increase productivity through public, private and third sector collaboration. The Liverpool City Region LEP is led by a private sector board with representation from the six local authorities of Greater Merseyside.

Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) As part of the coalition Government's localism agenda, DCLG is chiefly responsible for the devolving of power from central Government to local authorities and communities. Among their many areas, they are responsible for administering the current European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programme in the UK.

Association of UK Higher Education European Officers (HEURO) This organisation's mission is to provide a platform for higher education professionals, academic and administrative staff working within the European arena. It also helps to disseminate information to all its members of which LJMU are one. It is managed by an executive committee who are elected at the yearly AGM and who work on a voluntary basis.
