Dave Hardy

Mountaineer, skier and canoeist with experience throughout Europe, North America and New Zealand. Formerly: secretary Association of Mountaineering Instructors, involved in regional ski organization and coaching. Research interests: the sociological and cultural importance of outdoor recreation in society.

Teaching areas: leadership teaching and coaching of outdoor pursuits, in particularly kayaking, skiing and mountaineering; adventure and environmental tourism. MA in Tourism and Leisure; MIC European Mt. Leader; BCU Level 5 Coach -Inland and Sea; BASI Ski Instructor; Coach Alpine Skiing; RYA Senior Sailing Instructor.  Technical Advisor AALA.  NVQ assessor- D22/23.
