Sessional Staff

Andy Boorman

Andy worked for us at LJMU from 1997-2009 and will continue to deliver sessional teaching into his retirement.  An outdoor enthusiast since the mid 1960s, specialising in mountaineering and rock climbing. Involved in teaching and lecturing in the outdoors for over 30 years, both in a variety of schools and at university level. Member of the Climbers’ Club and the Association of Mountaineering Instructors. Holder of a variety of relevant awards including the Mountain Instructor Certificate. Technical Advisor AALA.

Phill George

Phill has worked with us at LJMU for many years.  Based in Snowdonia, North Wales, Phill George is a specialist provider of National Governing Body Awards for Mountain and Rock activities. Phill George is an International Mountain Guide and a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors.

Guy Lee

Guy has delivered our Caving programme for over 15 years.  Based in the Lake District, Guy is an experienced teacher, Caving and Mountaineering Instructor (CIC, MIC).

Duncan Morrison

Duncan has delivered our Caving programme for over 15 years.  Based in the North Yorkshire, Duncan is an experienced teacher, Caving and Mountaineering Instructor (CIC, MIC).

Del Davies

Del is a pioneer spirit for the John Muir Trust in Wales, and has helped establish a strong foothold for the Award. Del is based in North Wales and delivers our John Muir Award programme.

Chris Smith

Chris is an MIC who delivers our Level 2 Rescue and Emergency Care 16-h First Aid courses every autumn.
