Materials and Sport Technology
Welcome to the Materials and Sport Technology Research Group.
This multidisplinary group is within the School of Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University with close collaborations with several internal and external research and industrial partners. The research works have attracted external funding from the EPSRC, HEFCE, NHS, DTI, Royal Society of Engineering, UK Materials Education Centre, industrial sources, etc.
Main research and enterprise activities of the group cover a wide range of materials, processing technologies and products development. The group has also been leading the development of several industrial training programs on Materials & Processing in the UK and worldwide.
Main current research rctivities are focused on "Materials Development and Processing", "The Mechanics of Biological and Biologically Inspired Materials", "Contact and Fracture Mechanics in Design"; and "Sport and Biomedical Engineering".
