Graduation ceremonies are formal occasions and you are required to wear the academic dress of the University with your own appropriate formal attire.

The LJMU gowns and mortar boards are dark blue [except for PhD awards which are scarlet]. Hoods are lined in grey or blue silk embossed with the University coat of arms.

Ede & Ravenscroft are the official robemakers for the University and you will need to order a robe directly from them in advance. You can follow this link to Ede & Ravenscroft online to place your order.

The deadline date for you to order your gown is 29 June 2012

Please note; it is vital that you order your gown well ahead of the deadline. Ede & Ravenscroft carry a very limited stock of gowns for on the day hire and is allocated on a very strict first come first served basis. We would not like to disappoint any students so please ensure you order your gown in advance. 

If you are a wheelchair user, please notify Ede & Ravenscroft when you place your order as they can provide appropriately tailored gowns.
