Radiation protection
This course is core training for Radiation Protection Supervisors.
It explains the role of the Radiation Protection Supervisor, providing a practical understanding of radiation hazards, protection principles and current legislation.
The course duration is 2 days.
Follow up refresher training sessions are 1 day.
Training for those working with sealed sources, laboratory radiochemicals, x-rays, x-ray scanners and NDM Gauges can also be arranged.
The course is arranged by the Health and Safety Unit and delivered by the University's Radiation Protection Adviser, Radman Associates.
