WellChild Project
Dr Gabor Barton has secured a research grant of £103K from The WellChild Trust. This collaborative project based in the Movement Function Research Laboratory of RISES involves the Gait Laboratory of Alder Hey Children's Hospital, The Movement Centre in Oswestry, and MOTEK in Amsterdam. During the 1.5 year pilot study beginning in September 2008, reactive virtual environments will be developed in order to quantify and train movement control of the pelvis and spine aiming to improve core control and gait of children with cerebral palsy.
