Julie is the module leader for Working with Children & young people and is also the school disability coordinator. She trained as an adult nurse at RLUH and moved to Kent where she worked/trained as a neonatal nurse. She came back to Liverpool to take up post as neonatal lecturer/practitioner and moved to childhood studies team in 2005. Her teaching interests include Perspectives on childrens' & young persons' health: personal/family factors, international factors, social factors. Critical thinking, clinical supervision and her research interests are experience of disabled/disadvantaged children in society and education.
