eduroam Ubuntu configuration instructions
Connecting to the eduroam secure wireless network
For step by step screen shots, see below
- Left-click on the wireless networks icon in the top right of the screen and right-click on eduroam.
- Fill in the settings as below, replacing cisjblog with your username and password. If coming from another participating University, enter your home institutions details. Click on the folder icon for CA Certificate.
- In the Choose a Certificate Authority certificate… dialog, navigate to /etc/ssl/certs and select the ‘AddTrust_External_Root.pem’ certificate and click ’Open’.
- Having returned to the Wireless Network Authentication required dialog box, click Connect. After a short delay, you should be authenticated and ready to use the network
