Organisational Role and Responsibilities

Leigh is a Senior Lecturer in Law.  On the Legal Practice Course she is subject leader for Business Law and Practice, Practical Legal Research and Client in the Community, and is part of the teaching teams for Interviewing and Drafting.  On the LLB she is part of the teaching teams for Social and Legal Studies and Education Law.

External Roles

Leigh is a member of Liverpool Law Society and the North West Housing Law Practitioner Group.

Biography

After a career lecturing law to built environment undergraduates, Leigh completed training in private practice and qualified as a solicitor in 1997.  Post qualification, she worked as an in-house general practice lawyer and in private practice in housing litigation.

Leigh is registered as a PGR student at the University of York.  Leigh's thesis is on anti-social behaviour, discrimination, mental health and social housing reflecting her research interests. Leigh is currently developing an option in Housing Law for delivery on the LLB.
