Teaching -                                                                    

James (Jay) teaches on Land Law, Equity and Trusts, Independent Learning in Law and Legal Research modules. He is the module leader for the Level 6 option Company Law and is joint module leader for Bank Regulation and Financial Crime.

He is module leader for the LLM modules Corporate Group Structures and International Competition Law.

Administrative -

Jay is the Programme Leader for the Masters course, the LLM in Legal Practice.

Jay maintains the LJMU LLB and LLM web pages.

External -

Jay sits on the Standing Committee of the Convocation of the University of Liverpool.

Research Interests -

Jay is actively researching corporate governance issues in the US and in the UK and is currently studying for a PhD in corporate governance at the University of Manchester. Other research areas include global financial regulation, especially in relation to banking law, competition law, market stability, and credit ratings agencies.
