Turki Faisal Al Rasheed
Chairman, Golden Grass Inc.

I have 30 years’ business experience and expertise in the field of Agriculture. I am Chairman of Golden Grass, Inc., which I created in 1982 and built up to be one of the top 100 Saudi Companies in Saudi Arabia.
Previously, I worked as an Agriculture Engineer and earned my degree from the University of Arizona, USA in 1980. Following this, I graduated with an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 2004. I was also named one of KFUPM’s prominent alumni when it celebrated its 30 years anniversary. In addition to this, I write for Al Watan, Al Eqtisadiah and Al Jazirah Saudi newspapers.
The LJMU DBA provides the challenges, motivation, and inspiration in achieving the ultimate academic title of Professional Doctorate, as well as the knowledge that comes with this. I have acquired new skills through research in finding and accessing a wealth of information through the Internet, books, journals, surveys and interviews.
The DBA programme has exceeded my expectations, providing a better option for managing my time as it enables me to study closer to home. This is important as I have work, social and family obligations to fulfill.
For me, success is not a destiny rather it is a continuous journey. One of my goals in studying for the DBA is to give back to society through alleviating poverty and improving rural areas.
