Eight years in Architectural practice as an architect, six as a qualified Architect designing and managing the production of products, buildings and urban environments. This included one year in architectural consultancy and one year practicing in Japan. Twelve years as a Lecturer teaching Architecture and Urban Design at BA Hons undergraduate level and at postgraduate Diploma level. International teaching experience in Malaysia, Turkey and America. 2002 wrote and was successful in achieving validation for a new Interior design course at JMU, 2004 appointed principal lecturer and Head of Interior Design. Currently Programme leader of the BA (Hons) Interior Design course and chair of the recruitment committee for the school of Art & Design. Architectural Experience

Typical projects for the research and consultancy unit, the analytical assessment of proposed and completed office buildings for both developers and client occupiers. Designing and developing typological floor plate and core permutations in consultation with other Architects such as I.M Pei, Foster for large office projects. |

Large scale urban design proposals with D.E.G.W & Toshiba Corporation for the Shibaura area Tokyo. The essence of the proposal was implemented over a 15-year period in the Shibaura area of Tokyo. |
