ACADEMIC STAFF PROFILE
|
My preoccupation with the slippage and crossovers between the visual arts plus a broad skill base, has led to my working across most of the specialist areas in the Art School. I currently work as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History of Art and Museum Studies and in the Department of Fashion. My personal practice has always reflected my cross disciplinary interests and ranges through the publication of limited edition books, prints and postcards, gallery exhibitions to audio and audio visual publications. A book featuring a cross section of this work has recently been published by Liverpool University Press in conjunction with Chicago University Press. My published research during the past ten years has increasingly been involved with the archiving of early American popular music, both through my own ident. ‘Big Snake’, as well as via commissions from other record companies. I have recently been invited to join the research team of Document Records, the largest international publishers of Pre and Post-war American Blues music. |
