Profile

I am Head of the Film Studies Department at Liverpool John Moores University. My research focusses on film theory and philosophy, film adaptation and Eastern European, African, Asian and art house cinema. I have published on Michael Haneke, Jan Švankmajer, Czech cinema and a wide variety of other film-related subjects. I am on the editorial board of the journal Film-Philosophy.
