High Speed Navigation



Course provides training in High Speed Navigational Techniques, Bridge Procedures and High Speed Craft handling and manoeuvring characteristics for high speed craft teams.  The course, which is not type specific, includes navigation and passage planning, appropriate use of equipment, international regulations for the prevention of collision at sea, manoeuvring and ship handling, navigational and engineering emergencies.  The theory is supplemented by a set of training exercises run in the 360° ship handling simulator.

Duration:  2 - 5 days

Entry requirements:  There are no entry requirements

Issue of certificate:  There is no formal examination but delegate's performance and understanding will be continuously assessed throughout the course.
