How do you travel to LJMU?

Complete the travel survey and make sure your views are heard – and be in with a chance to win a prize.
LJMU will shortly be launching a travel survey for all staff and students.
This is your opportunity to have your say about cycling, walking, car parking and public transport provision around the city and between LJMU campuses. It is important that as many students as possible take the time to complete this survey because what you tell us will directly feed into our travel plans.
Essentially, the information we are looking to collect centres around:
- What mode of transport are you using and why?
- What the benefits and barriers are of different modes of travel and what improvements/changes you would like to see?
What happens after the survey?
During 2009/2010 the we will be reviewing the approach to travel planning for LJMU, with separate campus plans being prepared. The results of these surveys are important to us in setting the background to this work and providing essential information for campus developments.
The main objectives of the Travel Plan are:
- To improve access to all LJMU buildings.
- To ease the car parking problems at the University.
- To put measures in place to reduce the negative impact on the environment by encouraging the use of sustainable modes of transport.
- To reduce the number of single occupant car journeys and car dependency.
