Please be mindful of cyclists' safety.
At LJMU we are keen to encourage as many staff as possible to consider cycling to work rather than taking their car. In the latest edition of the Staff Magazine there are some interesting facts about why cycling is so good for you and the environment.
Those who do drive cars are asked to remain mindful of cyclists' safety and particularly to avoid parking in cycle lanes. When a car obstructs a cycle lane, cyclists are forced to go around the car, often into heavy traffic. Parking in mandatory cycle lanes is not permitted for any length of time and parking attendants can issue penalty charge notices for any infringements.
