Forecasting Financial Markets conference

20 November 2009

Forecasting Financial Markets, taking place in Hannover on 26-28 May 2010, is an international conference on quantitative finance which has been held every year since 1994.

Since its inception, the conference has grown in scope and stature to become a key international meeting point for those interested in quantitative finance, with the participation of quantitative market professionals and prestigious academic and research institutions from all over the world including major central banks and quantitative fund managers.

The FFM Scientific Committee is composed of both academics and quantitative market professionals to ensure the methodological soundness of the selected contributions and also retain the practitioner’s perspective at the same time. Over the years, the Committee has ensured that the presentations are original, high quality and practical.

Professor Christian Dunis, professor of Banking & Finance at LJMU's Business School and Director of CIBEF, is joint chair of the conference and Jason Laws and Professor John Thompson, both from LJMU and the CIBEF research centre, are part of the scientific committee.

Anyone wishing to present a paper for the conference should submit an abstract via www.ffm-conference.com by 12 February 2010.

Papers for the conference will appear in the Conference Proceedings, a document which will be given to every delegate. Authors are also invited to submit their work to the European Journal of Finance (EJF) which will publish a special proceedings issue containing selected papers from the conference.
