Everton Tiger runs Santa Dash

Placement students run mascot to raise awareness of local basketball team.
Applied Sport Science students Louise Bull, Katie Cunliffe, Jamie Malia, Nicola Morgan and Gemma Morgans are currently on placement with Everton Tigers Basketball Team, aiming to raise awareness of the team and increase attendance at the home fixtures.
As part of this goal, the students organised for the Everton Tigers' mascot 'Toxteth' to take part in Liverpool’s popular Santa Dash, running a distance of 5km in 32 minutes.
The mascot was featured on the Liverpool Daily Post website, achieving the students’ aim of raising the profile of the basketball team. The students also raised funds for the Everton Foundation.
