Marie Curie Swimathon
02 March 2010
On Sunday 18 April, 11am-2pm, LJMU’s IM Marsh swimming pool is once again part of the biggest Swimathon in the county in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
By taking part in Swimathon 2010 you will be raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and The Swimathon Foundation.
Whatever your ability, Swimathon has a challenge for everyone. You could try the individual challenges of 1.5k, 2.5k or the ultimate 5k. Alternatively you could join up with friends and family and take on the team 5k challenge.
The money you raise will help Marie Curie Nurses provide nursing care and support to people with cancer and other terminal illnesses - in their own homes and completely free. Every £20 you raise pays for one hour of nursing care in a patient's home.
To swim, register online at www.simathon.org or alternatively call into the swimming pool at IM Marsh Campus on the day.
