Recruitment tour Northern Ireland
02 March 2010
Student Recruitment and Widening Access return from school visits to Northern Ireland.
Student Recruitment have developed strong relationships with teachers and pupils in Northern Ireland over a number of years. Last year Account Managers made almost 100 visits to schools and colleges, delivering presentations, workshops and attending Higher Education conventions.
The latest Account Manager tour included a very successful week long visit to 32 schools and colleges, across all parts of Northern Ireland. This is in addition to the 50 school visits already taken place in September.
Marie Convery, a teacher from Hazelwood College in Belfast, really appreciated LJMU taking the time to visit her College, later commenting: “Thank you so much for an excellent presentation, the students have not stopped talking about LJMU all week.”
Further developments in Northern Ireland include the residential taster week for Northern Ireland pupils, which will go ahead later this month, in addition to the Careers Advisors Day for Northern Ireland teachers, planned for May 2010.
