NWDA Graduate Plus bursaries for postgrad students

North West Development Agency Graduate Plus Bursary of £1,250.00
Following the successful launch of Graduate Plus, LJMU has been awarded 19 Bursaries from the The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), for £1,250.00 for student considering studying postgraduate STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) in the 2010/2011 academic cycle. See below for a full course list of eligible master programmes.
To be eligible to receive a single award you must meet the below criteria:
- Student must not already hold an offer at LJMU for a master’s programme or be enrolled prior to 21st June 2010.
- Student must be applying to obtain a place upon the listed masters programmes (FULL COURSE LIST-(below) on a full time/part time basis to start in the year 2010/2011.
- Student must have obtained a minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree.
- Student must have obtained an undergraduate degree at a University located in the North West of England within the past 12 months or have a permanent residential address in the North West of England.
- If the master’s programme is at full capacity at 2010/2011 the award will not be eligible for transfer onto 2011/2012 entry.
- Bursaries will not be awarded in conjunction with any other financial assistance such as an LJMU Postgraduate Scholarship.
- Preference for the award will be given to students who are giving consideration to participation in a masters course but have individual financial constraints.
- All programmes must commence in the 2010/2011 academic year
- The bursary is a contribution towards the course fee only. It will be offset towards tuition fees and not paid in cash.
- Student must agree to a set of terms and condition once excepting the bursary.
