At Tuesday's graduation ceremony the rain in the afternoon did little to dampen the spirits of staff, students their friends and families, as we celebrated the achievements of graduates from:
Morning ceremony
- School of Built Environment
- School of Law
Afternoon ceremony
- School of Engineering, Technology and Maritime Operations
- General Engineering Research Institute
- Astrophysics Research Institute
- School of Sport and Exercise Sciences
- PhD students from the Faculty of Technology and Environment
Honorary fellows
There were three honorary fellowships awarded: (Please click on the links to read the orations given for them at the ceremony.)
- To Lord Jonathan Mance in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the legal profession
- To Bernard Hogan-Howe in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the field of law and order
- To Colonel John Blashford-Snell to recognise his pioneering work with young people
