Enterprise Fellowship Programme 2011
08 April 2011
Applications are now open for the 2011 Enterprise Fellowship Programme (EFP), the LJMU graduate business start scheme. This is the eighth year that the scheme has been run by the Student Enterprise Team at LJMU and to date over 140 entrepreneurs have started their business ventures, become self-employed or work as a freelance with help from the programme.
The programme is designed with graduating students in mind, but is also suitable for recent graduates (graduating from July 2006 onwards) and placement year students who are EU citizens and resident in Merseyside.
The programme provides:
• A 4 day intensive training course to kick start your business venture
• Up to 12 months of tailored business support and advice from our accredited business advisers
• The opportunity to apply for a £1500 Enterprise Fellowship award (per business)
• Access to LJMU’s ‘hatchery’ office facilities
The application deadline is 20th May 2011, with the programme starting on the 4th July.
Here’s what some Fellows from previous years have said about the programme:
"The EFP has given us the business knowledge we need and helped us to form our own direction. We are now looking to develop good links with schools in Merseyside using our newly taught marketing skills. Furthermore we are looking to expand nationwide."
The Rubbish Shakespeare Company
“The EFP has allowed us to gain the skills and create a much more complete plan to take the business forward."
