28 May 2012
Last chance to register for the LJMU Learning and Teaching Conference.
LJMU's annual Learning and Teaching Conference provides a forum to discuss innovative and effective learning, teaching and assessment practices, and to explore findings from teaching-related research. On the theme of 'Student Engagement', the two-day event will showcase presentations from academic and professional service staff across a range of topics. These include the use of interactive teaching methods and learning technologies, engaging teaching designs, use of student feedback for course enhancement and strategies for involving students in peer support.
Organised by the Academic Enhancement Unit, the conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies at the Art and Design Academy (ADA), in the heart of Liverpool's Knowledge Quarter. Vice Chancellor Professor Nigel Weatherill will open the conference to our keynote presenter, Professor Paul Trowler, Research Director at Lancaster University's Department of Educational Research. The conference will close with the announcement by the VC of the Learning and Teaching Award winners.
The conference takes place on 12-13 June 2012, and is free and open to all LJMU staff, student and collaborative partner institutions to attend.
Please note that we are using the university conference booking system for the first time this year. When you book onto the conference you need to set up an account before you can register.
Registration will close on 1 June 2012.
