Sport and Exercise Sciences help train army participants
The Tour de France cycle team from the British Army visited LJMU last week to undergo pre-imposed testing in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences.
15 riders from 42 Engineer Regiment (Geographic) and the Corps of Royal Engineers went through intensive physiological testing. Dr Warren Gregson and his team have helped the team in their training programme in time for the gruelling event.
Staff from within the School will be heading out to France on Friday 6 July for three weeks to provide sports science support for one of the world's greatest sporting challenges.
