Deborah Shackleton recognised in the New Year's Honours list
LJMU Governor Deborah Shackleton has been appointed a CBE in the New Year's Honours list for service to the Housing Sector.
Deborah is Group Chief Executive of the Riverside Group, one of the most prominent social purpose regeneration companies in the UK, serving over 50,000 tenants and leading regeneration work in neighbourhoods throughout England.
She has been involved in housing and regeneration for over 25 years and her interests in education (apart from LJMU) include being a governor of Merchant Taylors' Schools, Crosby, and previously an external examiner for the University of Westminster housing degree. She is also a member of the North West Regional Assembly and Sefton PCT.
