LJMU School Governors' Network
22 January 2009
A new discussion and support forum.
Many staff have years of experience as governors in primary and secondary schools. An increasing number of staff and students are becoming governors - over 20 joined in November, for example. This new forum will bring both groups together to share experience and knowledge.
Student Recruitment's Derek Jones commented, "As a very recently appointed governor I know that I'd value the support of those who have already made a success of the role. I know of other recently appointed governors who would also like to tap into their expertise. Our schools will benefit too from their advice."
There will be two parts to the network: a mailing list in which issues can be discussed, and two get-togethers a year on campus - you are welcome to join either or both.
If you would like to be part of this network, please contact Derek on d.jones@ljmu.ac.uk
