Manuscript RISES to the top
30 January 2009RISES research article is the most cited from any sport and exercise sciences department in the UK.
Professor Greg Atkinson’s manuscript, Statistical Methods For Assessing Measurement Error (Reliability) in Variables Relevant to Sports Medicine, which was published in 1998, has now been cited by 340 subsequent researchers.
This makes it the most cited article listed in the Science Citation Index that has been first-authored in any year by any academic working in a Sport and Exercise Sciences Department in the United Kingdom. The article is also placed in the top-ten most-cited articles published between 1998 and 2009 originating from any sport and exercise science department in the world.
The manuscript was co-authored by Professor Alan Nevill, who now works at the University of Wolverhampton.
