Travel Plan extra
10 March 2009
PLUSBUS tickets available in Liverpool.
It is now possible to add unlimited bus travel around a town to your train ticket.
The PLUSBUS initiative is co-ordinated by Journey Solutions – a partnership of Britain’s bus and train operators, dedicated to improving your journey.
PLUSBUS provides a discount price 'bus pass' that can be bought with your train ticket and gives unlimited bus travel around a town and the surrounding urban area. One rail station of your train journey must be located outside the relevant PLUSBUS travel zone.
There is a set fee according to the type of ticket and PLUSBUS is available on single, day return, period return and weekly and monthly season tickets. As an example, a daily fare for Liverpool would be £3. Railcard holders can save up to one third off adult bus fares and up to a half off children’s.
PLUSBUS tickets can be bought at any train station or over the phone (with an online facility coming in the near future). One ticket is issued for both train and bus travel with +Bus simply being printed on the train ticket.
For further information, maps and fares see PLUSBUS website on www.plusbus.info For bus times and routes call traveline on 0871 200 22 33 or visit www.arrivabus.co.uk
