Swapping shirts for Comic Relief

13 March 2009

Staff go all out to raise money for charity.

Martin and Gerry in their swapped kitsGerry Laing from Student Services and Martin Jones from Finance have made the ultimate sacrifice as life-long supporters of Liverpool FC and Everton FC respectively by swapping kits in aid of Comic Relief.

What started out a few weeks ago as a bit of banter has resulted on them not only swapping shirts, but wearing the full kit and dying their hair - all to raise as much money as possible. Initially, they agreed that to make the sacrifice they would only do it if over £100 was raised - they under sold themselves by some margin however, as the total amount raised by 3pm was in excess of £800.

Martin and Gerry would like to thank all those who donated - if you would still like to make a donation, visit: http://www.myrednoseday.com/martinandgerryswapshirts
