Summer volunteering
27 March 2009
The LJMU Volunteering Team invites past and present volunteers, along with all interested students, to a Summer Events Evening being held at the Everyman Bistro, Hope Street on Wednesday 1 April, 4pm-6pm.
Come along and find out what exciting opportunities you can get involved with over the summer months. There will be free food and drinks on the evening and you will be able to have an informal chat with the team about any volunteering that you are considering doing.
Along with the LJMU Volunteering Team, Junction49 and vinvolved will be there to discuss what other volunteering opportunities are also available to you. Some of the opportunities available this summer are:
- Summer residentials where you will spend the weekend in the countryside, all food and accommodation is paid for. An excellent chance to have fun, meet new people and do some conservation work.
- Ongoing volunteering placements.
- Student led community projects.
- Stewarding at events, including an abseiling event for the RNIB where you will get the opportunity to abseil yourself!
If you would like to come along then please email the team to confirm your place at volunteering@ljmu.ac.uk or call 231 3850.
