Graduate Accelerator Programme receives funding.
LJMU has been allocated HEFCE funding to deliver employability support for unemployed graduates in Merseyside.
The University has received funding from the Economic Challenge Innovation Fund to provide an intensive one-week employability course. Entitled the Graduate Accelerator Programme, the course will take place each month at the GDC from May 2009 until September 2010.
LJMU will primarily deliver the course but will work in partnership with the sector skills councils.
The course will include:
- A customised online diagnostic survey looking at self-awareness, oganisations and making things happen
- Skills and attributes gap analysis
- Action planning
- Sessions on job hunting, applying for jobs, interviews, project management, industry sectors etc.
- Practice interview
The Brokerage team will also source graduate work-related opportunities.
