Staff Infobase update

21 April 2009

From 1 June, everything changes for staff at LJMU with the introduction of a brand new self-service system known as the Staff Infobase.

keyboardThe Staff Infobase will provide a much easier interface for staff and managers to update staff records and will be supported by one store of staff data rather than separate databases for HR and payroll.  All data will be stored in a secure and confidential environment and staff will be able to change and manage data more efficiently.

Payslips will be going digital so that everyone can access their pay information via the web; the move to electronic payslips is a greener, more sustainable method of issuing pay information.  In the first few months, reminders will be issued to confirm when current pay data is available.

Over the past two weeks, training has been on-going with staff who will be using the system professionally, these are staff who have responsibility for recording absenteeism, recording overtime and tracking specific personnel issues for Schools, Faculties and Service Teams.  The first users of the system have been impressed, comments and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive with users able to work through the system with ease and feeling reassured about using the new system from the beginning of June and helping to introduce the system to colleagues.

Training sessions are on-going and dates for drop in sessions for all staff can be accessed here: http://www.ljmu.ac.uk/personnel/98692.htm
