2009 LJMU Citizenship Awards

LJMU is once again inviting nominations for the 2009 Citizenship Awards.

The aim of the Citizenship Award is to recognise outstanding contributions made by staff and students to the local community, and to serve as a vehicle to highlight the importance and significance volunteering plays in our society.

Persons interested in nominating individuals for the Award may obtain nomination forms from LJMU Volunteering, by either emailing volunteering@ljmu.ac.uk or by downloading the form from: http://www.ljmu.ac.uk/volunteering/98590.htm.

To be eligible staff and students should be nominated for the award by a colleague, lecturer, student or other member of the University. A person should not be nominated without their permission.  For more information about the nominating people for the award please contact Barbara Mace at the e-mail below.

Entries should be submitted via post or e-mail to:

A panel will convene to decide on successful nominations. Awards will be presented by the Vice Chancellor and Lord Alton at a ceremony on 26 June 2009.

Closing date for applications will be 26 May 2009.
