• German Diploma in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology (1999), University of Hamburg (Germany). Further specialisation in cell structures and pharmacology / toxicology.
• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (2005), The University of Manchester (UMIST) (UK).
