Mexico

A major NERC funded research programme has focused on the examination of the earliest human occupation of the Americas. This work, led by Professor Silvia Gonzalez, has examined the archaeological record in the Americas from a uniquely Mexican perspective, as Mexico forms a natural bottleneck through which humans must have passed when dispersing from one part of the Americas to another.

Further details on Professor Gonzalez' research in Mexico and the Mexican footprints website can be found here.
