Research Focus: Andreas' main area of study is surrounding the individual adaptations and mechanisms to hypertrophy training, but has a keen interest within the metabolic basis and quantification of load within elite sport.

Applied Work: Initially, Andreas studied an undergraduate degree alongside working as an Assistant Sports Scientist at Everton Football Club, alongside university commitments. This lead to further specialisation in the area of Sports Nutrition and he began to work with Wasps Rugby Union and Blackburn Rovers Football Club alongside Masters degree study. Andreas has worked within the England Rugby Union Performance Services Team as a Performance Nutritionist and as a Consultant Nutritionist with England Rugby League, Catalan Dragons Rugby League, Toronto Wolfpack Rugby League, Sale Sharks Rugby Union and London Irish Rugby Union whilst completing his PhD study. More recently, Andreas has led the Performance Nutrition departments for Chelsea Football Club, Fulham Football Club and Derby County Football Club. Currently, Andreas is heading up Performance Nutrition at Newcastle United Football Club.
