The School has a vibrant teaching and research environment with up to date facilities. The research output was rated as 'world leading or internationally excellent' in RAE 2008. The school has more than 1200 undergraduates and MSc students. We currently have 70 PhD research students from around 20 different countries researching in areas spanning computer security, networking, games technology, to health related technology.
