GIS Lab wins major contracted research projects

Recognising the skills and experience of GISLab developers, two major contracted research projects were awarded between March and August 2007. The Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services project (12 months) uses innovative chaordic modelling techniques in a GIS to look again at forecasting methods for predicting dwelling fires in the region. The second project commissioned by the major international finance and consultancy organisation, Capita Symonds, contracted GISLab to design and develop a new spatial decision support system for their international property register.
