3. Code of Conduct
- Students are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a manner which demonstrates respect for the University, its staff, fellow students and property. Serious breaches of this code could amount to gross misconduct which may lead to expulsion from the University.
2.1 Violent, indecent, disorderly, threatening or offensive behaviour or language whilst on University premises or whilst engaged in any University activity. [Appendix II (i),(iii)]
2.2 Action which causes injury or impairs safety on University premises.
2.3 Theft or damage to University property, or the property of other members of the University community, caused intentionally or recklessly. [Appendix II (iv)].
2.4 Criminal offences where these offences involve other members of the University or directly affect the interests of the University. [Appendix II (ii)].
2.5 Misuse or unauthorised use of University premises or items of property, including computer misuse [Appendix II (iva),(ivb)]
2.6 Disruption or improper interference with the academic or administrative processes of the University.
2.7 Examination offences, as defined in the University Assessment Regulations.
2.8 Breaches of the University's Equal Opportunities Policy in respect of other members of the University, or any person engaged in University business.
2.9 Behaviour which interferes with the legitimate freedom of speech, ideas, actions or enquiry of other members of the University or any person engaged in University business.
2.10 Failure to comply with a previously imposed penalty under this code.
2.11 Behaviour which brings, or may bring, the University into disrepute.
