Emergency Nurse Practitioner Developments (level 3)

This programme is from the Post Qualification Framework (PQF) in the Faculty of Health and Applied Social Sciences.

Aim of the course

The course will develop the student towards being an autonomous ENP. They will use innovative new skills and associated background knowledge to effectively manage a specified range of injuries/conditions and to recognise and refer-on those patients who are beyond their scope of practice. They will further work with the patient, relatives and other professionals to advance their sphere of practice.

Structure and length of the course

The course will be delivered in one academic year, with one part day per week study at the University. Learning activities include lectures, discussions, seminars and tutorials and university based practice workshops.
Distance learning units and materials are used to aid practice based learning over the semester
