Introduction

This course has now fully recruited for 2010 entry but it is available from 2011.

Our design philosophy is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment which fuels creativity and innovation balanced with a strong understanding of contemporary Fashion practice.  We feel this type of creative learning environment produces Fashion practitioners and visionaries, who are better equipped to respond to the challenges of the rapidly changing Fashion workspace.

The BA Fashion programme has two distinct pathways, Fashion Design and Fashion Communication, which encompass styling, fashion imagery, fashion photography, illustration and art direction.  These two distinct pathways produce graduates that can successfully interface with the Fashion Industry on a wide range of levels.  Opportunities for internship/placement are offered to increase student understanding of the Fashion Industry.

The BA Fashion programme has a growing reputation for producing innovative and creative Fashion designers and Fashion communicators with a strong commercial edge.  Our graduates have gained significant international recognition within a variety of Fashion related fields and include: Domingo Rodriquez - winner of graduate Fashion Week River Island Menswear Award 2008, Kirsty Doyle, winner of Project Catwalk, Andrew Foxall (Foxall Associates), John Mooney (Topman) to name a few whilst many others have careers with companies such as Erdem, Alexander McQueen, Dazed & Confused, Ted Baker, Adidas and Paul Smith.

Through consistent innovation and design lead development the BA Fashion  degree engages and collaborates with external bodies and enterprise to consolidate and extend its creative footprint within Liverpool and beyond.
